Chatterhigh is a Canadian-based website sponsored by the Ministry. Colleges and Universities supply multiple choice questions with a "research button" that leads to the correct answer. A new quiz is generated each day, allowing students to explore different programs and career paths offered to them across Canada. Students also have an opportunity to engage in topical conversations with other students across the country plus enter draws for prizes or donate to charities using points earned from correct answers
Chatterhigh also embeds surveys (presented regularly) to tailor questions to student interests. These surveys are suitable as "Who Am I?" activities as they offer feedback to the students
Purpose: to activate inquiry regarding different career pathways and study options
Step Two Using their profiles from the "Who Am I?" lesson, students visit COPS and select & research three occupations, determine the future outlook and labour market potential of each occupation, and "pick a winner": which occupation of the three chosen looks most promising? http://occupations.esdc.gc.ca/sppc-cops/[email protected]?sbmt=Search&QT=1
